Session 7: Work with and Customize Shape Data in Visio 2010 (working file)

Practice creating and using shape data fields in Microsoft Visio 2010 with this diagram, created as a companion to the Visio 2010 MVP Sessions, Video 7. MVP Session Video 7 covers working with data stored with shapes in your diagrams. Use this working file to follow along with the video and learn how to create data fields that can store differing values and link those fields to your shapes.

What am I looking at?

The diagram you can see here is a web view of the working file, published through Visio Services. Using the controls at the top, you can change which section of the file you see, zoom in or out for a closer or wider view, and even see linked data sources through the shape information pane.

With Visio Services and either Visio Professional 2010 or Visio Premium 2010, you can publish any type of diagram (static or data-linked) to SharePoint, so others can view the diagram without needing to have Visio installed on their machines.
