Value Stream Map sample diagram for Visio 2010

System requirements                   Instructions                   Online view

Use this Microsoft Visio 2010 sample diagram to see how Visio can be used to help analyze and improve the flow of materials and information required to get your products and services to your customers. This sample shows how a soda manufacturing company created a high-level visual map of their value stream, from purchasing to production control to customer service. It provides key data for each role, including changeover time (C/O), shifts, uptime, and cycle time (CT), on a weekly schedule. This sample could be applied to virtually any other multi-stage process, such as a consumer goods order fulfillment process.

The diagram you can see here is a web view of the sample diagram, published through Visio Services. Using the controls at the top, you can change which section of the diagram you see, zoom in or out for a closer or wider view, and even see linked data sources through the shape information pane.

With Visio Services and either Visio Professional 2010 or Visio Premium 2010, you can publish any type of diagram (static or data-linked) to SharePoint, so others can view the diagram without needing to have Visio installed on their machines.
