Session 3: Get Started with Shapes in Visio 2010 (working file)

Practice quickly and accurately working with shapes in Visio 2010 with this diagram, created as a companion to the The Visio 2010 MVP Sessions, Video 3. MVP Sessions Video 3 covers the basics of how to best work with shapes in Visio 2010. Use this working file to follow along with the video and practice how to quickly select, place, duplicate, space, rotate, and connect the different furniture, computer hardware, and network connection shapes in a typical office layout. You can use these skills and shortcuts when working with any drawing in Visio 2010.

What am I looking at?

The diagram you can see here is a web view of the template, published through Visio Services. Using the controls at the top, you can change which section of the template you see, zoom in or out for a closer or wider view, and even see linked data sources through the shape information pane.

With Visio Services and either Visio Professional 2010 or Visio Premium 2010, you can publish any type of diagram (static or data-linked) to SharePoint, so others can view the diagram without needing to have Visio installed on their machines.
