Session 6: Configure diagrams for display and print in Visio 2010

Learn how to work with the infinite canvas, page orientation, and page backgrounds in Microsoft Visio 2010. This video reviews several tips for working more effectively with flowcharts by taking advantage of the infinite canvas feature in Visio 2010, which automatically expands or reduces the drawing page to fit your diagram. It also covers how to apply different orientations to pages and how to apply backgrounds to make your diagrams look more professional.
This video is part of a series covering the basics of how to use Visio features and capabilities. Learn more and view other videos in this series.

What am I looking at?

The diagram you can see here is a web view of the working file, published through Visio Services. Using the controls at the top, you can change which section of the file you see, zoom in or out for a closer or wider view, and even see linked data sources through the shape information pane.

With Visio Services and either Visio Professional 2010 or Visio Premium 2010, you can publish any type of diagram (static or data-linked) to SharePoint, so others can view the diagram without needing to have Visio installed on their machines.
