    Session 19: Create flowcharts and swimlane diagrams in Visio 2010

    Learn about the new visual feedback features and other enhancements for creating and working with standard and cross-functional (“swimlane” diagram) flowcharts in Microsoft Visio 2010. This video reviews several features that help you create flowcharts more quickly and easily, such as visual indicators when shapes are aligned and evenly spaced, autoconnect triangles and the quick shape menu for adding connectors or shapes with a single click, and containers for managing swimlane diagrams.

    What am I looking at?

    The diagram you can see here is a web view of the working file, published through Visio Services. Using the controls at the top, you can change which section of the file you see, zoom in or out for a closer or wider view, and even see linked data sources through the shape information pane.

    With Visio Services and either Visio Professional 2010 or Visio Premium 2010, you can publish any type of diagram (static or data-linked) to SharePoint, so others can view the diagram without needing to have Visio installed on their machines.
